Shorty here. My life taught me a few things and made me question a few more. Trying to express through words.

New & old earn some gold!

We are young, but not stupid. We are full of energy. We love our life. We want to be our own caretakers. We decide for ourself. But we try hard not to choose hastily when it comes to our careers. We take our own time. Just one chance is what we need. But again there is a difference. A difference between us and our parents. They are our caretakers. They want us safe. They don't want us to fall down. But I remember once when I fell off my bicylce, I was hurt. I cried into my father's arms. My dad said, " It's okay little girl. It's okay. You are never gonna learn anything without falling." Then why did our fathers and mothers forgot this moral of life as we grew up. Why? To protect us, to see us happy. I am sure they capably protected us. But I can't say if we are happy. Money is important. It provides us essentials. But happiness counts more for us youngsters. We want to live and achieve goals that would satisfy our happiness first, and our needs later.

True it  is that our elders hold a baggage full of their own life experiences but youth are alacritous with their own thoughts and ideas. Oh obvioisly now, a bit of bad blood was always present here and there. So the elders can't actually say that they are always right. You see, they are young too. They might have been wrong too. They learnt from it. They fought their way out.

So why don't we let the younger peeps fight their own way?

It is obvious isn't it that our parents care for us. But please, the care & protection an elder means to give shouldn't be caging his/her child. Let the youth think for themselves. They will talk to u. They will ask you for suggestions. They will learn from u. And then decide. Let them walk their own way up to the goal. Because u see, you could only make them hold your finger and walk by you when they were little. Understand. Your child has grown. Matured. Mastered. Only essential that a youth wants is your moral support and YOU.

A tree never turns green until the roots and the leaves nourish it. Our society either won't prosper without the elders and youngsters unitedly working for it. I am sure it would make a difference.
